Wild Antarctica Express

Explore pristine locations by X Bow ship: icebergs, whales and penguins  | 15 Days

With its vast ice shelves that calve monstrous icebergs and waters rich in krill, the Weddell Sea is one of Antarctica’s most unique regions. Keep an eye out for three penguin species, hunting orcas, feeding humpbacks and minke whales as your ice-strengthened expedition ship takes you comfortably between the Weddell Sea and the Antarctic Peninsula’s west coast. Highlights will include the other-worldly tabular icebergs of the Antarctic Sound, retracing some of Shackleton’s and Nordenskjold’s route and visiting fascinating fossil fields with our on-board palaeontologist. This is a fly/sail voyage with only one Drake Passage crossing.
