Birds and nature in North Iceland and the Faroes | 8 days
Escape the crowds and enter the strange but beautiful world of Iceland on one of our eight or ten day bird watching nature tours for small groups. Major sites we plan to visit include Goðafoss Waterfall, the abundant bird paradise of Lake Mývatn, Grímsey Island and its large puffin colony on the Arctic Circle, Hrisey Island, Svarfaðardalur Nature Reserve and the whales and birds in Skjálfandaflói Bay.
A third tour will offer birdwatching in The Faroe Islands. Ask Fiona for more details.

Fiona’s travel tipsWHAT TO WEAR: Good walking and waterproof shoes are a must. In summer, light clothing is often all you need - but be prepared for both cold and wet weather at all times of year. You can swim year-round in countless geothermal pools and lagoons with a typical temperature of 25-28°C, so a bathing suit is a must, whenever you visit!
TOP TIP: Stay centrally in Reykjavik – it’s a wonderful city to wander around with some great restaurants.
BEST TIME TO GO: Summer for wonderful hiking
